Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026
These terms govern use of RBM Accounting (the "Service"), the accounting system operated by RBM Business Holdings Inc. ("RBM," "we," "us"). By signing in to or using the Service, or by connecting an account to it, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.
The Service
RBM uses the Service to provide bookkeeping and accounting services to its clients. Access is by invitation only. The engagement agreement between RBM and a client sets out the services RBM provides and its fees; if it conflicts with these terms, the engagement agreement controls.
Accounts and access
- Keep your sign-in details, including your password and authenticator, confidential, and do not share your account.
- Tell us right away at privacy@rbmbusinessholdingsinc.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or end access to protect the Service, our clients or their information, or if these terms are broken.
Your information
Each client owns its business records. You give us permission to store and process the information you or your business provide, and the information we receive from connected accounts, to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to provide that information, including any details about your customers and vendors.
Bank and card connections
Bank and card accounts are connected through Plaid Inc. By connecting an account, you authorize us and Plaid to retrieve that account's information, and you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. Only connect accounts you are authorized to access. Transactions depend on what your bank provides and may be delayed, incomplete or withdrawn by the bank. You can disconnect an account at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access records you have not been given access to, or try to get around security or access controls;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission;
- use the Service for anything unlawful or fraudulent; or
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service.
Records and reports
Reports and figures in the Service are only as accurate as the information entered and received. They are prepared to help run your business and do not by themselves constitute tax, legal or investment advice. Review them before relying on them for a tax filing, loan application or other decision, and ask us if anything looks wrong. Accounting entries are never erased; corrections are made with new entries.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and backed up, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the update.
Disclaimer
Except as stated in these terms or in a client's engagement agreement, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, RBM is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from use of the Service. RBM's total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the fees the client paid RBM in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending use
You may stop using the Service at any time. When a client relationship ends, access ends, and we keep the records as described in our Privacy Policy. A client may ask us for a copy of its records.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
